Jenny, I feel such kinship because I also get a buzz taking things off my wishlist 😂 it feels good to realize that “no, in fact, this item is not a good use of my money!”

I loved your post and I’m glad you found the “prove it” exercise as helpful as I do. I think you, ultimately, made a great decision with those shoes. I think shoes, more than anything else, are hardest for me to square my desired lifestyle with my actual one.

Ahh, the thrill of removing something from the wishlist! It’s so good. I tend to make my “prove it” looks digitally but somehow looking at an outfit on my phone allows enough distance that I can convince myself it’s reasonable for my life. In fact, trying it on irl would likely prove otherwise. I need to remember this.

Great point Jennifer, I hadn’t considered that! Love this ‘prove it’ step from Kelly Williams x

FWIW, as an outside observer, your Prove It outfits were fire! But, that’s the thing about personal style, I’m on the outside! Good on you for testing them out and knowing that they aren’t quite right for you 👏🏻. Just wondering, how was the sizing?

Thank you soooo much Irene! So kind! They definitely ran big, I’m typically UK6 but needed a UK5.5 in these. Such beautiful shoes! I’m thinking of buying these mesh flats from Massimo Dutti instead 😍
